Terms of use

Acceptance of the terms

By using DangoGames (dangogames.com and app.dangogames.com) you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

The service

DangoGames offers, free of charge:

• Games you set up with your own content: Hangman, Name picker wheel, Word search, Crossword, Memory match, Flashcards and Guessing game with clues.
• Live rooms to play the guessing game with the whole class at once.
• Instant tools: dice roller, coin flip, random number generator and name picker wheel.
• My classes: student lists with participation tracking by term, a leaderboard and PDF export.

User accounts

You do not need to sign up to play. Creating an account lets you save your games and use "My classes". If you create an account, you must provide a valid email address that belongs to you, and you are responsible for keeping your password secret and for any activity carried out with it.

Receiving news by email is optional: we will only write to you for that purpose if you agree, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

We may suspend or delete accounts that break these terms.

Your content

The words, clues, images, class lists and other content you create or upload remain yours. You grant us a free, non-exclusive permission to store and display it, solely to run the service.

Anyone who has the link to a game can see it and play it, so do not include private or confidential information in games.

By uploading content you confirm that you have the right to use it (for example, that images do not infringe copyright) and that it does not include other people's personal data without their permission. In "My classes", a first name or nickname for each student is enough.

Acceptable use

You may not use the service to:

• Post illegal, offensive, discriminatory, violent or sexual content, or content that harasses others.
• Send spam or unauthorised advertising.
• Try to damage, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site's systems.
• Impersonate other people.

Live rooms

Whoever creates a live room is responsible for moderating it and for making sure participants' names and answers are appropriate for the classroom.

DangoGames intellectual property

The design, code, graphics, texts, name and logo of DangoGames belong to us. You may not copy, modify or distribute them without our permission. This does not cover content created by users, which remains theirs.

Advertising and external links

The site shows third-party ads and may include links to other websites. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.

Availability of the service

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend or withdraw games and features at any time. We recommend keeping a copy of any content that matters to you, for example by exporting your class participation to PDF.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, DangoGames is not liable for indirect damages or for the loss of data, games or participation records arising from the use of the service or its interruption.

Changes to the terms

We may update these terms when the service changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new version.
